PONTA DELGADA, Azores — A 5.5 magnitude quake was recorded close to Azores-Cape St. Vincent Ridge on Friday around midnight, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor struck at 01:29 UTC (00:29 local time), with its epicenter situated of Azores-Cape St. Vincent Ridge and a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.2 event, but later upgraded it to 5.5.
