Update: Earthquake measuring 5.5 jolts area near Basco, Philippines on July 20

At midday on Sunday, a 5.5 magnitude quake was registered close to Basco, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor hit the region at 05:45 UTC (13:45 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located about 98 km south-southwest of Basco and occurred at a depth of 40 km.
