PYIN OO LWIN, Mandalay Region—According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to Shwebo Friday afternoon.
The tremor, which hit the area at 09:30 UTC (16:00 local time), was centered about 35 km east-northeast of Shwebo. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
