Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake recorded near Chokurdakh, Russia on June 28

UST-YANSKY DISTRICT, Sakha Republic—the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.1 magnitude quake shook close to Chokurdakh Saturday evening.

A tremor jolted the area at 09:51 UTC (19:51 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 288 km northwest of Chokurdakh and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
