Update: Earthquake measuring 4.0 rattles area close to Olancha, CA on July 13

INYO COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Olancha Sunday morning.

A tremor struck the region at 5:27 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was positioned roughly 7 miles south-southwest of Olancha and occurred at a depth of just 1 mile.
