Update: Earthquake of 4.0 magnitude registered close to Olancha, CA on July 13

INYO COUNTY, CA — Sunday morning, a 4.0 magnitude quake was detected near Olancha, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 5:27 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 7 miles south-southwest of Olancha and occurred at a depth of just 1 mile.
