Update: Earthquake rattles region near Bombay Beach, CA on June 25 – 2.8 magnitude recorded

IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.8 magnitude quake occurred close to Bombay Beach Wednesday morning.

A tremor shook the area at 9:08 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was situated approximately 2 miles west-southwest of Bombay Beach and occurred at a depth of just 3 miles.
