Update: Fire weather watch in place for Colorado River Headwaters for Saturday and Sunday – high fire danger

On Thursday at 1:36 a.m. an updated fire weather watch was released by the National Weather Service valid from Saturday 9 a.m. until Sunday midnight for Colorado River Headwaters.

Winds are forecasted to be southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and relative humidity 6 to 11 percent.

“Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise extreme caution with any outdoor burning,” says the NWS.

According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
