Update: Earthquake of 5.8 magnitude reported close to Yōkaichiba, Japan on June 26

A 5.8 magnitude quake occurred near Yōkaichiba on Friday around midday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which shook the area at 03:46 UTC (12:46 local time), was centered roughly 2 km east-southeast of Yōkaichiba. It occurred at a depth of 43 km.
