Update: Earthquake hits region close to Xunchang, China on July 7 – 5.0 magnitude registered

A 5.0 magnitude quake rattled near Xunchang on Tuesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor shook at 22:12 UTC (06:12 local time), with its epicenter about 13 km north of Xunchang and a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.1 but later downgraded to 5.0.
