Update: Earthquake shakes region close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia on July 30 – 5.3 magnitude registered

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.3 magnitude quake occurred near Vilyuchinsk Wednesday afternoon.

The tremor hit the area at 04:54 UTC (15:54 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located about 193 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk.
