Update: Earthquake measuring 5.3 strikes area close to Pacific-Antarctic Ridge on Sept. 12

A 5.3 magnitude quake was registered close to Pacific-Antarctic Ridge around midday Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the region at 23:12 UTC (13:12 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located of Pacific-Antarctic Ridge.
