Friday afternoon, a 5.3 magnitude quake was registered close to Vilyuchinsk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 07:44 UTC (18:44 local time). The epicenter was located approximately 188 km southeast of Vilyuchinsk, at a depth of 10 km.
