Update: Earthquake measuring 5.1 shakes area near Bāgeshwar, India on Oct. 6

GARHWAL DIVISION, UK — A 5.1 magnitude quake struck near Bāgeshwar on Tuesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 16:53 UTC (22:23 local time). The epicenter was roughly 34 km north-northwest of Bāgeshwar, at a depth of 10 km.
