A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Indian-Antarctic Ridge on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 01:29 UTC (09:29 local time), a tremor hit the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter west of Indian-Antarctic Ridge. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.2 but later downgraded to 5.1.
