ALEUTIANS EAST BOROUGH, AK — A 5.2 magnitude quake jolted near False Pass on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor shook the area at 12:12 p.m. (1:12 a.m. local time). It occurred at a depth of 21 miles with the epicenter roughly 66 miles south-southeast of False Pass.

The agency has received 6 responses on its online form so far, from people saying they felt weak to light shaking. Residents reported experiencing the quake in a couple of cities, such as King Cove and False Pass, according to the USGS DYFI report.
