LIFOU, Loyalty Islands Province — A 5.0 magnitude quake hit southeast of the Loyalty Islands on Monday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor jolted the area at 06:45 UTC (17:45 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was southeast of the Loyalty Islands of southeast of the Loyalty Islands and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
