5.1 magnitude earthquake shakes near Southwest Indian Ridge on Aug. 29

A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Southwest Indian Ridge on Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which struck the area at 05:40 UTC (09:40 local time), was centered of Southwest Indian Ridge. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
