5.1 magnitude earthquake shakes close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia on July 30

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Vilyuchinsk at midday on Wednesday.

The tremor, which hit the area at 00:49 UTC (11:49 local time), was centered about 137 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk. It occurred at a depth of 35 km.
