According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at midnight on Tuesday.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 13:43 UTC (00:43 local time). The epicenter was located approximately 146 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 10 km.
