Update: Seismic activity on April 2 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake close to Ternate, Indonesia recorded

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Ternate on Thursday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor jolted at 05:37 UTC (14:37 local time), with its epicenter approximately 113 km west-northwest of Ternate and a depth of 35 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.1 but later downgraded to 5.0.
