5.0 magnitude earthquake reported near Vilyuchinsk, Russia on July 30

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake shook near Vilyuchinsk on Wednesday around midday.

The tremor jolted the area at 00:09 UTC (11:09 local time). It occurred at a depth of 35 km with the epicenter situated roughly 158 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk.
