A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to South Sandwich Islands region on Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor rattled at 10:31 UTC (08:31 local time), with its epicenter of South Sandwich Islands region and a depth of 10 km.
