5.0 magnitude earthquake recorded near Sabang, Indonesia on Aug. 9

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Sabang on Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

At 03:02 UTC (08:32 local time), a tremor rattled the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 180 km northwest of Sabang.
