Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake strikes close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia on March 9

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake jolted near Vilyuchinsk on Monday morning.

The tremor hit at 16:37 UTC (03:37 local time), with its epicenter approximately 173 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.0 event, but later upgraded it to 5.1.
