A 5.0 magnitude quake struck near Labuan Bajo on Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
At 18:30 UTC (02:30 local time), a tremor hit the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 41 km east-northeast of Labuan Bajo.

Last week, the area has experienced seven quakes of magnitude 5.5 or above. The strongest, a 5.9 magnitude quake, shook the same region on Aug. 15.
