The Windigo took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Zachary Cline. Theodore Richardson and Logan Nickolaus assisted.
The Windigo made it 2-0 in the first period when Braydon Beahm scored, assisted by Jackson Ernst and Mario DiMaggio.
The Windigo increased the lead to 3-0 halfway through the first when Ronnie Hill scored, assisted by Alexios Georgaklis and Wyatt Herres.
The Steel’s Patrick Vogl narrowed the gap to 3-1 late in the first, assisted by Ryder Mcintosh and Mason Johnson.
The second period ended with a 5-2 lead for the Windigo.
Wyatt Herres made it 6-2 with a goal early in the third period, assisted by Zachary Cline and Nate Farrell.
Ryder Mcintosh narrowed the gap to 6-3 with a goal one minute later, assisted by Patrick Vogl and Mason Johnson.
The Windigo increased the lead to 7-3 with 01.39 remaining of the third after a goal from Hunter Hayes, assisted by Theodore Richardson and Michael Ryan.
The teams play each other three more times, with the next two happening on April 4th and April 5th.
