The Aberdeen Wings have the upper hand in the series against the Bismarck Bobcats, after winning 4-3 after an overtime drama in game one on Friday, April 17, 2025.
Aberdeen’s Matthew Martin-Gaudreault scored the game-winning goal.
The Wings took the lead halfway through the first period, with a goal from Nikolai Tishkevich. Cooper Anderson and Matthew Martin-Gaudreault assisted.
The Wings scored two goals in second period an held the lead 3-2 going in to the second break.
The Bobcats tied the score 3-3 with 01.49 remaining of the third period after a goal from Keanu Krenn, assisted by Tommy Cronin and Ian Engel.
In overtime, it took 3:01 before Matthew Martin-Gaudreault scored the game-winner for the team, assisted by Gustas Zemaitis and Nikolai Tishkevich.
The teams are set to clash again three more times, with the next two taking place on April 4th and April 5th.
