On Saturday at 4:56 a.m. a special weather statement was released by the National Weather Service until 9 a.m. for Northern Westchester and Rockland County.

“A wintry mix of rain, snow and potentially sleet is expected through the early morning hours. Periods of moderate precipitation could briefly lower visibilities. Snow accumulations are expected to remain under an inch for most, mainly on grassy surfaces. Some slushy roads and walkways are possible. Use caution if traveling this morning,” according to the NWS.
