The 6-4 win sealed the series for the Waterloo Black Hawks against the Lincoln Stars on Friday, April 24, 2025.

The Stars opened strong, right after the puck drop with Kade Kohanski scoring in the first period, goal assisted by Lefty Markonidis and Aiden Janz.

The Black Hawks tied the game 1-1 with a goal from Teddy Townsend late in the first period, assisted by Reid Morich and Hunter Ramos.

Five goals were scored in the second period, and the Black Hawks led 5-2 going in to the third period.

Brady Peddle made it 6-2 with a goal early in the third period.

Alex Pelletier narrowed the gap to 6-3 with a goal four minutes later, assisted by Caeden Herrington.

The Stars’ Lefty Markonidis narrowed the gap again, assisted by Jack Pechar at 19:25 into the third period.
