BARÚ DISTRICT, CHIRIQUÍ—on Monday around midday, a 6.2 magnitude quake was recorded near Burica, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor, which shook the area at 17:16 UTC (11:16 local time), was centered about 211 km south of Burica. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
