Update: Earthquake of 6.2 magnitude registered close to Burica, Panama on July 14

BARÚ DISTRICT, CHIRIQUÍ—A 6.2 magnitude quake was detected near Burica at midday on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck the area at 17:16 UTC (11:16 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated approximately 211 km south of Burica.
