IMPERIAL COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Calipatria Friday morning.
A tremor struck the area at 3:21 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was located about 7 miles west-northwest of Calipatria and occurred at a depth of just 2 miles.
