Friday morning, a 5.8 magnitude quake was registered near Tobelo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor jolted the area at 21:29 UTC (06:29 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated roughly 130 km west-northwest of Tobelo and occurred at a depth of 85 km.
