Seismic activity on July 30: Earthquake close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia recorded – magnitude 5.0

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Vilyuchinsk on Wednesday around midday.

The tremor, which struck the area at 01:09 UTC (12:09 local time), was centered about 127 km southeast of Vilyuchinsk. It occurred at a depth of 35 km.
