A 5.3 magnitude quake was registered near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 17:37 UTC (04:37 local time), with its epicenter located roughly 165 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.2 event, but later upgraded it to 5.3.
