Update: 5.0 magnitude earthquake strikes close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on July 20

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake jolted close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday morning.

A tremor rattled the area at 15:03 UTC (02:03 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated roughly 140 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
