ORANGE COUNTY, CA — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a preliminary 2.1 magnitude quake struck near Yorba Linda around midday Sunday.

The tremor, which shook the area at 1:19 p.m., was centered roughly 3 miles east-southeast of Yorba Linda. It occurred at a depth of 6 miles.
