HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA — A 3.0 magnitude quake was detected close to Petrolia Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor rattled the area at 8:06 a.m. (7:06 a.m. local time). The epicenter was positioned roughly 33 miles west-northwest of Petrolia, at a depth of 8 miles.
