CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a preliminary 2.1 magnitude quake struck near Danville at midnight on Saturday.
The tremor, which struck the area at 12:19 a.m., was centered roughly 1 mile southeast of Danville. It occurred at a depth of 5 miles.
