Update: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude detected near Nikolski, AK on June 28

ALEUTIANS WEST CENSUS AREA, AK—Saturday evening, a 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded near Nikolski, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck at 6:08 a.m. (7:08 p.m. local time), with its epicenter located roughly 101 miles south of Nikolski and a depth of 6 miles.
