SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A 2.9 magnitude quake was registered close to Cobb Thursday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor shook the area at 10:46 p.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was located roughly 4 miles west-northwest of Cobb and occurred at a depth of just 2 miles.
