ALMERÍA, AN — A 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded close to San José Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
At 05:13 UTC (07:13 local time), the region was hit by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 21 km southeast of San José.

Moderate shaking has been detected and people reported feeling the earthquake in a number of cities, including San Miguel de Salinas, El Ejido, Vera, Cuevas del Almanzora and Mojácar according to the USGS DYFI report.
