Thursday afternoon, a 5.2 magnitude quake was registered close to Wongsorejo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A tremor struck the region at 09:04 UTC (16:04 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated about 24 km north of Wongsorejo and occurred at a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 4.9 but later upgraded to 5.2.
