Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 jolts area close to Mid-Indian Ridge on July 11

Friday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was detected near Mid-Indian Ridge, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the region at 02:07 UTC (06:07 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated near Mid-Indian Ridge. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.0 event, but later upgraded it to 5.2.
