Update: Earthquake measuring 5.1 hits area near Erciş, Turkey on April 4

TUŞBA, Van — A 5.1 magnitude quake struck close to Erciş on Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which jolted the region at 05:52 UTC (08:52 local time), was centered approximately 21 km south-southeast of Erciş. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
