A 7.3 magnitude quake was recorded close to 2025 Sand Point Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 8:37 p.m. (9:37 a.m. local time), the region was rocked by a tremor. The earthquake struck at a depth of 12 miles, with its epicenter near 2025 Sand Point.
