ALMERÍA, AN — Monday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was registered near San José, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor jolted at 05:13 UTC (07:13 local time), with its epicenter positioned roughly 21 km southeast of San José and a depth of 10 km.

Those who experienced the earthquake are encouraged to report it via the USGS Felt Report form. 85 people have submitted responses through the agency’s online form, reporting they experienced the quake. Moderate shaking was recorded, and residents in several cities—such as San Miguel de Salinas, El Ejido, Vera, Cuevas del Almanzora and Mojácar—reported feeling the tremor, according to the USGS DYFI report.
