According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Kolympári Wednesday afternoon.
A tremor jolted the area at 13:26 UTC (15:26 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated approximately 44 km north-northwest of Kolympári and occurred at a depth of 66 km.

Those who felt the quake are encouraged to report it via the USGS Felt Report form. The agency has so far received 41 reports via its online form from people who indicate they experienced the tremor. The USGS DYFI report indicates that weak to light shaking was detected, with people in Kalívai, Tsikalariá, Darátsos, Vamvakópoulon and Galatás among those who felt the earthquake.
