Update: Earthquake measuring 5.0 hits area near Gözler, Turkey on March 9

GÜNEY, Denizli — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Gözler on Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

At 06:21 UTC (09:21 local time), a tremor struck the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 14 km west of Gözler. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.1 but later downgraded to 5.0.
